BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

REPORTS TO: VP, Sales
JOB LOCATION: San Clemente, CA (Hybrid, Full-time)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for executing all sales goals.
  • Prepare and give product demonstrations and/or presentations for new and/or existing products utilizing presentation software and other traditional means.
  • Effectively educate customers about the benefits and features of new products and increase sales – articulating Seawind’s winning advantages.
  • Travel to customers, prospects, and tradeshows as needed.
  • Build long-lasting and trustworthy relationships with customers.
  • Awareness of competitors’ customer base, product range, and pricing.
  • Make recommendations to sales and customer service about product specifications and pricing.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and President to develop a business growth roadmap.
  • Develop an ongoing plan to surface new opportunities that support revenue and profit goals.
  • Provide new product recommendations based on food trends and customer usage.
  • Communicate booked customer volume requirements to procurement.
  • Work with the quality department to prioritize customer document requests.
  • Attend and support company functions and programs.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to ask for the order with strong closing skills.
  • Passionate about learning and understanding new products, applications, and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effectively working with other coworkers, managers, and department heads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
PAY RANGE IN SAN CLEMENTE, CA 

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

BASE SALARY 

Starting at $80,000/yr
