Mushroom, Lion’s Mane

The lion’s mane mushroom is an edible and medicinal mushroom that grows in North America, Europe, and Asia. It is easy to spot amongst other mushroom varieties for its long shaggy spines, which is how it achieved nicknames like, “monkey head” and “bearded tooth.”

This unique mushroom variety is consumed raw, dried, or cooked and offers seafood like flavor, mimicking the taste of crab or lobster. The lion’s mane mushroom variety offers many health benefits and is therefore often made into tea or supplements.

Today, these mushrooms can be added to dried risotto mix, baked into a pot pie, and then frozen for distribution, or used as a meat replacement in any other variety of food developments. If you’re looking for a Lion’s mane supplier, request a sample on our contact page or via the form below.
